Christian Churches are far more concerned about school prayer, gay marriage, and pro-life/pro-choice issues than they are about a little ol' thing like the killing and maiming of Moslems. After all, "What would Jesus do?"
I can assure you that the Christians would be far more vociferous if Iraq were a Christian country. We saw the same attitude at the beginning of the Vietnam War. Later, the Catholic Church, in particular, took a stand.
Anyway, you must remember that President Bush is (by his own admission) a "born-again," fundamentalist Christian. They have very strange ideas about the relative importance of things as I'm sure you are aware from this forum. The conservative Christian Right will generally back Bush because he shares their values (or lack of them as the case may be).
